One of the best players in the class of 2023 has committed to the Oregon Ducks. According to many recruiting services, he is a top 5 player in the 2023 class.
Mookie Cook is a 6-foot-7 small forward out of Chandler, AZ. He re-committed to the Ducks over schools like Kentucky, Gonzaga, Arizona and had the option to go to the G-League Ignite. After fellow five-star Kwame Evans committed to Oregon, it looked like he was always going to return to Oregon.
What does Cook bring to the table?
Cook is a player that will impact the game in many ways including rebounding the ball, dribbling out of certain situations, multi-positional defender and is a capable scorer. As he does not have many weaknesses, he could improve on getting a more consistent shot. He is a great scorer but consistency is important. There should be no doubts he can improve that.
Cook will join four-star point guard Jackson Shelstad and five-star power forward Kwame Evans Jr. in Oregon's 2023 class.
