Sumo-Karngbaye joins his former NC State teammate, QB Devin Leary, at Kentucky. Sumo-Karngbaye had 55 carries for 305 yards and three rushing touchdowns during the 2022 season. That was good for 5.5 yards per carry.
Kentucky lost Chris Rodriguez Jr. (NFL Draft) and Kavosiey Smoke (transferred to Colorado) this offseason. The coaching staff knew it was time to replace them.
Kentucky got the addition of Ray Davis (Vanderbilt) from the transfer portal earlier this offseason, and now they add Sumo-Karngbaye from NC State. Kentucky still has running backs like JuTahn McClain, Ramon Jefferson, La'Vell Wright, and Jamarion Wilcox to tinker with throughout the season.
