Central Arkansas has decided to part ways with head coach Anthony Boone.

The decision to part ways with Coach Boone comes after a 9-23 overall record and a 5-11 record in the Atlantic Sun during the 2023–24 season.

University of Central Arkansas director of athletics Dr. Brad Teague said this about Anthony Boone: "We could not have asked for a better person to lead our young men. That made the decision to change our direction much more difficult. But, I decided we needed to find a new leader to explore the possibilities of this program." via UCA Athletics.

After having UCA remove the interim tag, Boone became the full-time head coach in March 2020. In his first season as the Central Arkansas head coach, the Bears had a 5-19 record. That season was cut short by COVID.

In his second season as the Central Arkansas head coach, the Bears had an 11-20 record. In his third season as the Central Arkansas head coach, the Bears had a 9-22 record. In his four and a half seasons as the coach of Central Arkansas, Boone had a 43-96 record.
