Penn State lands a commitment from 2025 four-star linebacker Alex Tatsch. Tatsch, who is from Latrobe, PA, commits to the Nittany Lions after taking a visit to Penn State over the weekend.
Alex Tatsch told 247Sports, "It's the comfort with the coaching staff, and I just felt like I fit in well there, especially being an in-state guy," the 6-foot-2, 211-pound Tatsch said. "A lot of guys around me share similar types of ideas and personalities so I thought it was a great fit for me team-wise. I like the coaches a lot, especially (defensive analyst) coach (Dan) Connor and (defensive coordinator) coach (Tom) Allen. I feel like I have a good fit with them. It's close to home, too."
Tatsch held offers from other schools like Kentucky, Boston College, Cincinnati, Michigan State, Notre Dame, South Carolina, USC, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Tatsch is the ninth commitment in the 2025 recruiting class. He joins four-star linebacker DJ McClary, four-star tight end Brady O'Hara, four-star running backs Kiandrea Barker and Tiqwai Hayes, three-star offensive tackle Owen Aliciene, three-star cornerbacks Xxavier Thomas and Omar Gaines, and three-star quarterback Bekkem Kritza.
